Subject: Spiti Expedition
Dear friends,
I am just returning from Ladakh after completing our 16th medical and
dental expedition. Our team of 24 led by Dr. Geelhoed did a wonderful job
of providing care to 1787 patients in a 8-day camp set up at four different
locations in Ladakh (Indo-Tibetan borderlands.) We are now in the final
stages of preparations for our Spiti and Lukla expeditions.
I hope you all received copies of your flight itineraries that I just
e-mailed to you. Please go over the dates and destination points and If you
see any errors or spelling mistakes in your name, please call Mr. Atam @
770-939-8889. Our domestic flight from New Delhi to Shimla has been
cancelled due to damage to the airport from heavy monsoon rains. Please
note that this distance of 360 kms will be covered by bus on day one. You
all will receive another copy of the detailed itinerary which will show the
change.
