Subject: Change in Denver departure to return to make it to Grand Rounds on Tuesday June 19
Only after I had made my travel plans for the San Antonio and Denver flights did I remember that I am giving Grand Rounds at Holy Cross Hospital on African Goiter on Tuesday at Noon June 19. The return Continental flight from SAT..IAH gets into BWI an hour and a half after my Grand Rounds, so that I cannot fly out on Tuesday, but must return on Monday.
This means I am due for the change fees and the re‑issue scalpings that I have just been through last weekend, but I did make a change in order to avoid missing the program that has been booked for eighteeen months.
I will make all of the first part of my itinerary arriving tomorrow in SAT, and going on to Denver as scheduled..arriving there at midnight. But, on Monday morning, I will return, not to SAT but through STL to BWI instead.
The back half of the Continental itinerary I will simply throw away. The new return schedule looks as follows:
18 June Mon. TWA #74 DIA 11:05 AM 2:09 PM STL
TWA #170 STL 3:50 PM 7:02 PM BWI
