Subject: Wow.
That is a wonderful letter. You really shouldn't lie like that. :)
Seriously, I can't thank you enough for writing such a thoughtful, flattering
letter for me. I can't imagine a better one, and I again recognize how lucky
I am to be a friend, and indeed mentee, of yours. I am determined to gain your
writing skills one of these days, not to mention your running skills. You are
a true inspiration in healthy habits. Thanks again.
STEAMBOAT MARATHON! I love it. Wish I could be there to cheer, and to take
a dip at Strawberry Park! Don't slip and injure yourself; you know how slimy
and slick it can get up there when the air is cold. And Virginia! Yipee! I
think she should run... have her give it a shot! She sounds like a star.
I'm jealous you'll get to be with the Moores; I have been meaning to call them,
and will soon. I am moving out of my flat TODAY, to couch‑surf for my
remaining few weeks here. Saving in rent, but spending on a tube pass! I am
in a wedding in LA, and interviewing at a Stanford program that helps low‑income
high school students with an interest in medicine, get into college and medical
school. It will be BUSY but if I get the job I think it would be great! I'll
keep you posted.
I'm jealous you'll be back in Ladakh, and climbing, no less! How is your body
‑ no longer injured, I hope?
Take good care, have fun, and THANK YOU AGAIN.
Aloha, Hadley
