TO THE STARTLING NEWS ABOUT GARY SIMPSON,
AND ON TO THE MARINE CORPS MARATHON 26TH RUNNING

  1. Index to October B-Series from New Orleans ACS to Colorado venues and a return through the streets of Baltimore in an Inaugural Marathon
  2. The interrupted sequence of the "September Itineraries" continues as I board my first class exorbitant flight from Dulles back to Houston, packing far too much stuff for the Clinical Congress and the subsequent elk hunt in the Colorado Rockies.
  3. The ACS Clinical Congress in the Crescent City-the Big Easy.
  4. A great Colorado Rockies Elk Hunt-complete with everything but elk!
  5. The reunion of the Ladakh and Spiti trek participants at the University of Colorado before the endurance run of the Security check-in queue that concludes this phase of the long series of itineraries enroute to the Inaugural Baltimore Marathon.
  6. The Inaugural Running of the Baltimore Marathon-a great experience for me and Joe linked together in a 26.2 mile effort on a beautiful fall day through Baltimore.
  7. Shocking news upon my return home to catch up with the urgent calls and messages regarding business deferred-Gary H. Simpson, a friend in need for over thirty years died suddenly on the eve of my court date with him!
  8. I have returned from the Himalayas, the ACS Clinical Congress in New Orleans, and the high, cool, Colorado Rockies--but not a place as cool as the prior Antarctic site visited last February is just now!
  9. The "Run-Up" to the 26th running of the Marine Corps Marathon, and the preparations of my interval week between Inaugural Baltimore Marathon with Joe and the MCM-including the recouping from Gary Simpson's loss with a substitute lawyer, Dan Kennedy, and the twelve-year postponed completion of my trophies at the North American Taxidermy.
  10. The events of the 26th Running of the Marine Corps Marathon.
