EVENTS OF THE INTERVAL WEEK OF LABOR DAY, WITH LONG RUNS WITH JOE IN ANTICIPATION OF OUR MARATHON UPON MY RETURN, THE RETURN AND SORTING OUT OF KAMCHATKA PICTURES AND TEXT OF THE ADVENTURE COMPLETED, AND THE COMPLETE ITINERARIES OF THE EXTENSIVE SEP/OCT TRAVEL VENUES
Sep. 1-11, 2001
Joe and I have had some very good pre-dawn long runs as follows: Labor Day morning 9/3-Grosvernor Metro down Rock Creek Bike Trail to the Zoo-16 miles; Friday afternoon, 9/7 Grosvernor Metro down Capital Crescent Trail to Dale Carlia Reservoir and back to Bethesda---14 miles; Sunday 9/9 Grosvernor Metro down Capital Crescent to the Capital and back to the Old Post Office Pavilion-22 miles. This latter was our final "dress rehearsal" for the next run we do together, the morning after my return on October 18 PM-the Inaugural Baltimore Marathon on Saturday October 19.
What remains for this interval week was the preparation for the itneraries that follow, and a filing and sorting of the photos that have just returned from the Kamchatka Russia adventure, which I had also completed in narrative text from as well (see Aug-C-15) as well as forwarding the audiotape collection of the ten-tape series of the Ladakh and the Kamchatka expeditions.
