I have been discussing the kind of clinical rotations you had described, with both the Dharamsala staff of their brand new medical school, and the US support side,   I am also in discussion with the ACS and Dr. Keith Kelly how we might be able to institutionalize these programs, and will keep you apprized of the progress.

I will be in Dharamsala, again, twice in the coming year, as you can see from the itineraries attached.
I will be getting back to you, and thank you for writing!

Glenn:

I saw your name and email address on a website describing your trips to Northern India/Tibet.  My name is Michael Mara,  an orthopaedic hand surgeon from Oregon.  I'm currently on a long trip doing volunteer work in different countries.  I will complete my assignment in Kathmandu in a few weeks, and recently met a medical student who had been to Delek Hospital.

She spoke highly of the experience.   Do you have any information, advice, or contact information which could help me?  I'd be interested in spending one or two months in Dharamsala, or nearby areas doing whatever might be appropriate:  teaching operative or non‑operative fracture care, splinting techniques, physical exam, etc.  I'm not sure if they have surgical facilities in that area or are interested in short term volunteers.  Let me know what you think.  And say a little prayer for Nepal, she's having a tough time right now.  Please respond to my hotmail account:
