Thank You!

Yes, I would be very interested, but my summer is tight, and it would have to fit in the cracks!

You may know that I have lived in South Africa for all of 1996, so that is rather like a homecoming, and had been my stomping grounds and base from which I ran around Africa as the Senior Fulbright Scholar for the continent.  I have also done some serious travels in China, and know it well.

I am attaching two items, one is a calendar of this summer's events and the other is a series of reports on my experience in Malawi.

At this very moment, I am plucking out a wealth of slides, prints, CD's and other good memories of Malawi to make a program from my two medical students, John Sutter and Elizabeth Yellen (whom you almost met at the Hayden Boyds' when both were overwhelmed with duties in the hospital).  They will be presenting their experience on April 10, Wednesday noon in Ross hall 227.  Come on over!

We are also making plans for a return trip in Jan- Feb 2003.

Let me know and we will talk further!

Hope you had a good trip to Malawi.  I haven't actually talked w/George or

Betty since their return but am eager to hear how things went.

I am forwarding you an opportunity from the organization that I work with to

lead a delegation of college aged American students interested in Medicine

overseas to South Africa or China this summer.  I don't remember if you

already have plans or not, but thought you might be interested based on your

taking medical students overseas with you.  George lead a delegation to

China last summer.  If you're interested, I believe you need to apply

quickly.  You can reference me, as I know both Regan and Gina very well.

Take Care.
