Dear Friends,

I hope you all have received your international tickets. Here is a final

update an departure, arrival, pickup and emergency contact information.

You all will depart from JFK international airport on May 1 on Singapore

airlines flight # SQ 414. Arrival in Kathmandu will be on May 3rd. Nimi

Sherpa will receive you all and transport you to Hotel Manaslu. Dr. Glenn

Geelohoed (Team Leader) will arrive in Kathmandu on May 3 on Indian

Airlines at noon on May 3.

Since, we had to rearrange our flights out of Singapore, you are arriving

Kathmandu a day earlier than the original scheduled date. This gives you an

extra day to explore Kathmandu. You will then fly to Lukla and Dr. Gleen

will provide his guidance in setting up the clinic. Two nurses and two

local health care workers will assist you during the clinic days. They will

also be your interpreters. We expect 800‑1,000 patients from surrounding

villages to visit the clinic.  Nimi Sherpa will also accompany you to

Lukla. During your trek to Kala Pathar and then onto the Everest Base camp,

your local team leader will be one of our Sherpas. Dr. Glenn Geelhoed has

been on this trek before and knows the region pretty well. The final trek

to Everest Base camp gets a bit hard and tiring, please use caution and

decide if you want to go down from Kala Pathar. Base Camp is a region which

is few kilometers long, it changes from time to time and there is no set

location.

Please go over the detailed itinerary once again and check on inclusions

and exclusions. All accommodations are on twin share basis, all meals

during the trek are covered except lunch and dinner in Kathmandu. Bottled

water is not included.

Your contact numbers in Nepal (message purposes) will be if dialed from the

US  011‑977‑226980  and  476288.

Hotel Manaslu #s are 4120071 & 413470 ( dial 011‑977) if calling from the US.

In case of emergency your family and friends can contact us in Atlanta @

404‑929‑9399.  Please note that it can take anywhere from 24‑48 hours to

get the message across to you during your trek to the Base Camp because we

will have to use a foot soldier ( Sherpa) run after you from Lukla, catch

up and then deliver the message.

Please have your emergency evacuation insurance ready and pass your

insurance numbers to Nimi or Dr. Geelhoed upon arrival in Kathmandu.

I am leaving for India on a medical camp at Dharamsala and will not me

available until May 5th. Please feel free to call me in the next 24 hours

with any questions or concerns that you may have. Your e‑messages  will be

forwarded to me in India. If you have questions or problems with your

international ticketing, please call our agent directly.

Mr Atam Sikri @ 770‑939‑8889

Thanks

Ravi
