Assuaging
fears about India travel with a US State Department travel advisory in
view of the Kasmiri violence escalation: I copy the very good history of
the conflict from the “Post”.
Suggesting
the addenda to the Travel Dynamics Seminars and Symposia Cruise for the
Feb/Mar cruise I will be leading to discuss Mayan culutre and tropical ecosystems
in Belize Barrier Reef and the Yucatan.
As
waffling as public and political opinion on the tensions between India and
Pakistan the on/off Spiti trip remains---tentatively---on!
I
send out a cautous note, that, subject to change with very little notice,
I am making options into plans while keeping the trips to India on hold.
The
concern of a parent of the GWU medical student going with me to India, who
is also dean for research, elicits this response.
