THE HALF DAY OF TRAVEL BETWEEN TABO AND THE PIN VALLEY
WITH A STOP IN DAHNKAR MONASTERY
BEGINS WITH A BUSY CLINIC AFTERNOON IN REMOTE
SAGNAM, PIN VALLEY
JUNE 21 2002

            Last nght fgured as an adventure for a couple of the gang to whom  had ntroduced the “caves” overlong Tabo nto the hllsde whch represents Chna.  When there s a major ceremony the people sleep n those caves snce there s lttel they can get for accommodaton n the toan of Tabo  had sad. So they went up tpo the caves and unrolled there sleeping bags and had a go at beng “Troglodytes.”  Not very successfully t turns out snce elly was awae most of the nght tryng to worry about dogs snce she had a dream that she was atttaced by the number of loose dogs that hang out around Tabo and a number of these small Hmalayan mountan towns.

            We had paced up and got nto a small bus to leave Tabo ande stop enroute at the Danar Monastery.  We too off n a coloud of dust whch blloowed not the bus snce the drver’s wndown remaned open.  T no doubt furnished hm wth ventlaton but  was sttng behnd hmand  was covered wth a alayer of the fne dust whch would occasionally blloe n n chonhg clouds of dust whch continued untl we clmbed up the long swtchbacs to Danar whch was one of mye earlest Buddhst monasteres for whch reason am the designated tour gude as  a was last year.

            The lne of eys on my laptop s once agan mssng so ths s an exercse n unntellgblty snce the letters “” partcualry s mportant n mang snce of eanythng and the letter :” and commas are not far behnd.  So despite a rare and fully charged battery occsaon  wll have to sp ths opportunity to report to you on the tour of Danar and our appraoach to the Pn Valley to arrve at Sagnam.
