AS WELL AS AN INTRODUCTION TO

CURRENTLY A HARVARD-MATE

Subject: Introduction (if not already
superfluous) to Dan Wikler; and a re‑invitation!
Dear Paul:
You may have already met Dan
Wikler, just moved to harvard from Geneva, and if not yet, I had forwarded a
note to you that I had written to him that I hope might get the two of you
together.
I have just returned from a
series of Himalayan medical missions with medical students and might send under
separate cover the access to a few of the pictures from the stunning background
for the most recent medical missions, on a trek three weeks for the nearest
road, toward Lingshed, deep in the Zanskar Range. This area had been a prior topic of correspondence between Dan
Wikler and me, which might explain some of the references in the prior copied
correspondence, forwarded to you as an introduction.
Peter Hotez, Chariman of
Microbiology and Tropical Medicine, and I would like to re‑extend to you
an invitation to visit, consult with us, and give Grand Rounds here at the
George Washington Universtiy, proudly showing off its new Universtiy Hospital,
opened this week. I will continue to
make it an open invitation so that you might pick a few options for a time that
best fits schedules.
I thoroughly enjoyed the
presentation you had given in Cuba;
although I was precluded from hearing it "live", it was made
possible for my review by the forwarding of the material through IHMEC from
Anwar Velji, for which I thank him.
Thanks again for your
consideration!
