Thank you so very much!
I am forwarding the names you have so kindly supplied to members of the International Society for Panetics.
I was in Leh, Ladakh during His Holiness's visit, and made extensive rounds in the Gompas of the Zanskar region, often holding clinics in or adjacent to the Gompas. My next year's projected series of itineraries is attached.
I look forward to meeting with you again soon!
Yours truly,
Glenn W. Geelhoed

Dear Dr. Geehoed,
Thank you for your recent letter along with the material on the
International Medical Mission and the newsletter of the International
Society of Panetics. I am happy to have met with you and your students
when you were here in Dharamsala in June. The medical mission that you
have been carrying out in the Himalayan region is highly laudable.
As I mentioned then the principle concepts of Bodhicitta (compassion) and
Sunya (interdependent nature of all phenomena) in Buddhism make it very
possible to adopt a pragmatic approach to human suffering, although the
philosophical concepts are very profound and complicated. I am giving
below the names and addresses of some of the scholars, both Tibetans and
non‑Tibetans, who can help you to discuss this subject further in the States.
