Dear Glenn,

It's a big pleasure to receive an‑email from you. We are alive but we lost everything at Nyankunde. We escaped last September and it was a lot of troubles. Now, CME/ Naynakunde is complettly destroyed.

I am now at Goma with Jo Lussi working with DOCS. Andre went to Aru (North of Nyankunde). He is trying to work in Isiro. Sonny is at Beni with CME staff. We have there a small health center. I don,t have news from Jean Marco and people from Zandeland because we don't have communications.

On October I will be in States by invitation of FAIMER (Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research). I hope to come in a meeting in Washington (November 6‑10).

Many thanks for your prayers,

In His Name,

Alberto

Where are you?

I have just returned (again) from the Himalayas on a medical mission into the remote roadless regions of Zanskar in the Kashmir.  I had done goiter work in Mindanao Philippines and in Malawi earlier this year in Africa and also in Haiti.

I am interested in your recent work and what has happened in Zandeland.  Keep me posted since I would still like to help our friends wherever they have been scattered.

Keep up the good work‑‑and as "Bush Surgeons" I know we will be operating again before too long!
