I.                   Alan Mellicor’s Message:

Dear Alison, Charles, Helen, Glenn, Jennifer, John, & Kuya Fred,

Except for Glenn and Jennifer, who at this time, are winging their way

across the Pacific on board the PAL bird, I hope and pray that you all got

home safely, are back at your usual work and trying to get adjusted to a

your own time zone. May the Lord quicken your body and spirit and renew

your strength - inside out - after a grueling work in Tboli and Malaybalay

(plus Hilongos, Leyte for Glenn and Jennifer)!

In behalf of the people of Tboli and Bukidnon, allow me to express our

sincerest gratitude for the great work you'd done among them. Thank you for

choosing to come  and for sharing your lives, talents/skills and treasures

with them. The Lord bless you all indeed!

For the two weeks, we did 93 major surgical procedures, 22 minor

procedreus, and pulled 165 teeth from 77 patients in Malaybalay.

THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH!!!

We're looking forward having you here again.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Allan and Blessie

II.                Message from a participant in Leyte

Dear Dr. Glenn,

This is Raquel from Hilongos Leyte and I am really fascinated and admire a lot of what you came from, your profession and your family as well. You are such a wonderful person and a servant of God. I consider myself most blessed hat I have the privilege to meet you and even considered you as one of your friends. Your webpage is very nice and I am very much impressed of your talent and as well as your humility that you have the heart to serve others than to be served. I know for sure that I will never see you again here on earth but I am certain we will have a good time again in Heaven. I always hope that there would be more people that has the heart like you. I am blessed of who you are and how you allow God use you for the futherance of His glory. I missed the time we had with Jennifer and Mr Gene Allison. Indeed i have not seen them this time or even the years to come yet the good and enjoyable time we had with them will always be cherished and well remembered. I wish you can also send some pictures that we had at the Hilongos I will really appreciate to have them.

I hope that I can hear you sometime soon.

In Christ Name,

Raquel Rabe

IV  Message from Waning and Bing Dagang in Edwards, at TECH, among Tboli:

From the Dagangs  : TECH Prayer Letter for 2003

Dear  Friends,

GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME ! AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD !

The year 2002 has been very fruitful and exciting.  We have been blessed in so many ways, to name a few :

1.In  May 2002, a  crate containing 17 hospital beds, one anesthesia machine , sheets and blankets, OR table etc. miraculously arrived at TECH without a hitch from MMI. Praise the Lord for answered prayers. This time we did not pay much to the customs people unlike before.

2. On October 2002, another crate of dental chair and equipment came from friends in Canada.  Also there was never a problem with handling and freight. Really, God is on our side. PTL

3. I had the chance to join MMI in Thailand for two weeks in October 2002. That was an opportunity of a lifetime. Not only I had the privilege to minister to the Hmong people of Thailand, I also had a wonderful time seeing places and meeting people outside our country.

4. Early this year  on January 12-18 , 2003 , the MMI project of  12 members had the opportunity to do surgical mission to  the people of Tboli and neighboring communities. There were 73 surgeries done in just five days of work. Praise the Lord for the safety and protection of the team.  Amidst the travel ban to southern Philippines, the work was not hampered as we had to arrange for security forces to guard the compound day and night. The cases were quite different this year. Aside from the usual thyroidectomy and cleft and lip repair, we also had mastectomy, nephrectomy, hydrocoelectomy and hernioraphy. The most significant of all is the  opportunity of patients and watchers to hear God’s word through our  volunteer pastors. There were 68 professions of Christ. To God be the glory.

Indeed, God has been very good. The staff are all doing  great. Three of our staff who got married  two years  ago have now their babies.  The  TECH family is getting bigger and stronger each year through God’s sustaining grace.

We thank you for being a part of all that we are and have been doing . Because of your support through prayer, encouragement and financial help, the work that God has placed in our hearts has been  sustained all these years. We would like you to continue to be a partner. For this, we are sharing with you our prayer concerns for this year 2003 :

1.        Please pray for the repainting and tiling of our floors. A promised support is coming. As soon as it is available we will start the work.

2.        Please  help us pray as we apply for upgrading of the hospital from primary to secondary category. This would mean we will be accredited to do surgeries. The Dept of Health is requiring us to upgrade otherwise we will revert to infirmary category. Aside from upgrading our facilities, we will also add more hospital staff as it  goes with the requirement.  Often, we are confronted with fear that it may not be possible for us but we just trust the Lord . We know that the Lord has brought us this far and nothing is impossible for Him. We are praying for funds to build the second floor of the hospital building.

3.        Another need for the hospital is a working ultrasound and X-ray machine.  If we will be accredited as secondary hospital these two equipment are necessary .  One of our friends pledged to take care of  the OR light . We hope to be able look for a good one with a reasonable price.   PTL.

4.        Please help us pray that the dental clinic will be operational this year. It is unfortunate that our dentist friend who promised to give us the dental technician who will install the equipment went to US. Hopefully as soon as she is available , I’ll ask  her  to manage the installation of the equipment.

5.        Finally, please continue to pray for the staff. That we will all be shining lights for His glory and honor so that patients that come will be drawn to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We appreciate your deep concern for the work in Tboli. Here’s praying for God’s marvelous grace to be upon you.

With you in God’s service,

Waning and Bing
