I hope you received a reply to this email, which seemed to have vanished from my screen, and I could not find it in my SentMail either- - it is probably on the long cruise through the ether!

Try, try, again!  Http://home.gwu.edu/~gwg

On the subject of the duathlon, look at the "On- Line Journal" for April and check out the April 12 running of the Bull Run Run Ultra, a Fifty+ Miler.  The same week concluded with the running of the 107th Boston.

Yes, you will love Rainier!

Check out the "climbing" section in the "adventures" on the web page for a summit photo, or the attached "ropeclimb" photo.  I had gone up with Rainier Mountaineering Inc, and the Whitakers do a fine job.  You can stay in their hostel below Paradise, driving up form SeaTac.  Ned Randolph was my head guide, and there were a number of guides with us  who had done more than 300 ascents.  Rather than doing the John Muir ascent up from Paradise, we pioneered a new route up the glaciers (Rainier is the most heavily glaciated peak in North America outside Alaska!) and got lost in the two days of fog.  We came down 1,000 hard- won feet, but then made a push to the top on one day as it cleared, starting at 3:00 AM and arriving just after dawn.  Great!

I had gone to Malawi just after the runs mentioned above and I summarize it in the Apr- C- 1, May- A- 1 and May- B- 1.  The subsequent follow- on is seen in May- C- series attached.

I have sent you a separate email with the electronically accessible photos.

I am now packing up for Haiti (Jun- B- 2) and then take off for three consecutive Himalayan treks, culminating in an Alaskan adventure (Jun- A- series attached.)

Yes, podiatry or any other kind of healing art would be welcome- - just don't wear yours out on the duathlon!  You will love it!

Glenn,

I assume you are back from trekking around the globe for the good of

mankind!!! I hope all is well.

I tried to locate your website.  Again, I am having trouble. You seem to

enjoy doing this to me year after year.

I think it is wonderful what you are doing.  If you ever need a Podiatrist to

tag along....please let me know!

Anyway, I am off to do a duathlon in Atlanta next week and have been training

for Rainier.  Do you know of any guides that are available this season?

Have a wonderful summer.
