Great!

It looks good, as an "early" edition!

I am going out tomorrow to Haiti, and will only be in GW for a few weeks thereafter before I leave on July 17 for the Himalayas, where I will be two weeks in Ladakh, and then trekking over the Zanskar Range in Kashmiri until September.  I am then returning for only a day and spending the next two weeks in Alaska's West Coast range.  I will be back for a couple of weeks in September until the first of October when I go to Sikkim for another go at the Himalaya.

Between my return from Haiti and my departure for Ladakh, I am going to REI for an evening Seminar on the Everest Trek Route on June 18.  Mark nelson at REI knows all about this and can give you further details (see email address above.)

It might be a good idea to convene your group at REI, and we can talk about the future since Mark is also involved with a lot of Trail construction and maintenance as well as a good outdoor education program and is also a Board Member of WFA‑‑Wilderness First Aid‑‑as am I.  The Director is Christopher Tate, with whom you might also like to touch base (email above)‑‑and with each of us trying to help, it should be a good experience for all!

Cheers!

Dear DR. Geelhoed,

My name is Tim Miller and I am the Associate Director of the Student

Activities Center.  I am responsible for the GW TRAILS program and I have been

doing some research and ran across your webpage noting you as a "professional

hunter‑gatherer".  I was very interested in setting up a time to meet with you

to discuss our GW TRAILS program and seeing if you could advise me on how to

improve this fledgling program or see if you would be interested in presenting

on your experiences.  Our webpage is still pretty new but it is at:

http://gwired.gwu.edu/cms/index.php?site=sac&id=2466

Please let me know if you would be interested in meeting and I look forward to

talking with you soon.

Thank you, Tim Miller
