Good news!

"Come on Down!"

I am eager to see you and have you stay as long as you can‑‑for one thing, I can postpone starting up the packing into boxes every little thing in my cave until after you have left.  And, since I am not looking forward to putting a lifetime of loose papers of not‑yet‑finished projects away, along with all the things I might need but would be locked up for the next year plus+ (Let's see, where would I have left my hunting clothes come deer season?" I can have a reprieve until you leave.  You can also look over the Bronco‑‑running like a top and good enough to carry yet another full load of medical supplies to be stored away in the cave until my next Africa trip or container purchase, whichever comes first.

I spent the weekend in Trappe MD, visiting the Schaefers, just now getting out of the boxes they have had in storage for over a year as I am heading into them.

It was the last two days of the Spring turkey season in MD, so I went out in the perpetual rain and saw nothing the first cold morning.  The second day had a fall off in hunter enthusiasm, so only Craig and I went out.  We swatted swarms of mosquitoes and sat in the soggy wheat fields along swamps, seeing and hearing nothing.  In just one millisecond, a glance to my left after squawking on the box‑‑done to keep myself entertained‑‑I spotted a head poked above the wheat‑‑just enough to get the full center of the pattern of Number 4's in the split second reflex that brought home a turkey dinner!

I am looking forward to seeing you‑‑and getting any last minute advice on the gut and redoing of Derwood‑‑so that the kids can revel in the Derwood woods and the DC Museums.  Don't worry about "orange alert."  If it decreases tourist flow, it will be a reason to be grateful!

I will keep the latch string out!

Dear Uncle Glenn,

We would like to arrive on your doorsteps on the 19th. of June if that

would work for you?...We can stay for a few nights or so depending on your

schedule.  We would like to visit sights in DC but we do undersatnd that

with our ELEVATED status of terror attack that some of these may be hard

to view.  The dodge truck sounds like a winner... I'm kinda partial to the

RAM family myself...and as far as the Cummins Turbo diesel goes...you can

pretty much pull anything sideways dopwn the road with that bad boy.

Let us know how this works for your schedule.

See ya soon
