I had "primed the pump" for our visits and intensive work with the deaf school, and our afternoon in reviewing and testing all the deaf for air and bone conduction to see who might benefit from hearing aids.
Already, I have results!

Hello Dr. Geelhoed,
My name is Christi Barbee. I met you at the Univ. of Florida
Global Health Presentations Day. We discussed the possibility of
my going to Africa. After the presentations that day, I felt a
new world of possibilities open. I have been reading the
information on your websites.
When would be the best time to go? How long of a trip should it
be? I have asked a couple of supervisors to consider going. Do I
need to arrange for a supervisor while there? If there is not a
good time for me to go this fall or spring (during a break from
classes), then I would like to try to go during May 2004.
I am excited by the possibilities and look forward to working
international projects into my career.
Best regards,
Christi Barbee
