CONTINUES THROUGH ANOTHER MARATHON AND EVENTS IN MARYLAND

  1. Index to Nov-A-series.
  2. November 1 Events begin with the “Wurst Five Mile Run” in New Brunsfel Texas at the outset of the Wurst Festival, and proceeds to the Texas Air Show at Randolph Air Force Base before a quiet time in playing with two little men named Geelhoed.
  3. Devin and Jordan take their parents and Grandpa through the San Antonio Zoo—even to learn a few new animals in the process!
  4. I visit with the twins and play their games as I depart from San Antonio and make my way back to Maryland.
  5. My reference letter for Amy Hayes, one of my medical mission protégés, and the response from application programs.
  6. The photo collage from the Lingshed Trek from Ajay, one of my student trekkers interested in the Faces of Zanskar.
  7. If not a call to arms, at least a call to feet!
  8. Kevin Bergman’s response to his letter of reference for residency application.
  9. The Marathon-in-the-Parks-IV run in the cool chill of Derwood dawn following the omen of a total lunar eclipse.
  10. The recent problems in Nepal reflected in MMI cancellation and a NY Times story.
  11. Remarkable coincidence that may make possible my return to Mindanao and extensions to Leyte and to Palowan, through a generous invitation to lecture in Nanhua University, Taiwan.
  12. The windy weekend of November 14--16, 2003, as things are jumping in Derwood and details are falling into place—even including the year-end letter 2003—as I go off to another ELDP full day seminar.
  13. Several meetings of consequence:  my Derwood visit with Dale Kramer to add some change orders in the rapid pace of construction all the way to landscaping; the public hearing on the ICC—which two proposals might make my near neighbor!—and the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award ceremony in the Russell US Senate Office  Building; all before takeoff to the one way air travel to Iowa with the return by Audi.
  14. VERY EVENTFUL AND WONDERFUL WEEKEND WITH THE FLIGHT TO IOWA, AND LONG DRIVE BACK TO DERWOOD, WHERE INTERIOR DESIGNS WERE NEARING COMPLETION IN PLANNING AND A VERY HAPPY MEETING WAS INITIATED AND FURTHER PLANS WERE ENGAGED.
