Subject: Photo party/drinks/appetizers Saturday the14th?

Dear Dr. Geelhoed,

Hope you are well. I apologize for not having had the opportunity to write

you sooner and thank you for the incredible opportunity of joining you for the

trip to the DR and Haiti. I found the trip to be an amazing experience within

the realm of international medicine and health. As I had said on the final

evening, the experience has made me re‑think medical school. I'm thinking of

looking into that for when this Gates project I'm working on wraps up in early 2006

‑‑ I'll let you know how I'm progressing in that regard.

Again, many thanks for your hardwork and dedication throughout the trip and

on every mission you undertake.

Additionally, I wanted to be sure that you received the mini‑invite below to

a photo party on Saturday night (somehow you weren't on my email list last

night ‑‑ apologies for that).

Hi all ‑

Hope you're well! Just wanted to see what you think of a photo party on

Saturday, August 14? Drinks, appetizers and pictures...(and then perhaps out to

celebrate Neely's belated bday and Laurie's actual bday). I live in Adams Morgan

so it should be quite fun. (Hopefully the date still works.)

Anytime after 7 pm...hope you can make it!

Directions: Link to my place is below (you might have to copy the URL). You

can either metro to Woodley Park/Adams Morgan which results in a walk of ~10

minutes over Ellington Bridge or you can drive (parking isn't so bad before 9‑10

pm). The address is 1763 Columbia Road, NW #503 ‑‑ the building is called The

Imperial. It's on the left side of the street going North from the corner of

18th & Columbia. [Right after KFC, Pizza Hut and Radio Shack ‑ if you've

gotten to Popeye's you've gone too far ‑‑ and no, I do not live in a food court :)]

When you get to the bldg, walk past the front glass door to the gate, press

the button and then 503 and I'll buzz you thru. Then walk to the 2nd glass door

(residential entrance) and you hit 9 and then 27 for my unit (503) ‑ I'll

buzz you in again. Take the elevator up to the 5th floor, take a left and it's
