CORPS MARATHON

Donald’s aortic operation, concluding with the special Marine Corps
Marathon running
- The highly eventful trip
forward from San Antonio to Denver, and on into Crystal Colorado, and the snowy
Maroon Bells for the spectacular elk hunt—2005, while I am out of cell phone
contact during Donald’s big and eventful day when he is having his aortic valve
replaced in Gainesville, Florida.
- The big snow storm that precedes my Colorado Mountain hunt re-visits in
the conclusion at the time of our packing both in and out.
- Rainy weekend unpacking and dealing with Derwood details as the overwhelming
workload of the ELDP accumulates.
- The plans coalesce for me to be leading a medical mission to Rwanda, with PFP organizing the details.
- Well-wishers on my Centennial Marathon coming up on a cool Washington weekend.
- The Marine Corps Marathon requests stories from some of the thirty thousand runners for whom the thirtieth
running might be considered “special”
- Events of the MCM-30—my 25th MCM and my Centennial Marathon, marked along the course of my first one!
