Dear Team,
Greetings!
I trust that all of you have now gone back to your
routines, fully
recovered fr
om the long work you've put into the project, the long
travel,
and the post-project blues.
My wife and I are writing to you to once again thank
you for the great work
you've done and the many lives you have touched during the
two weeks you
were here. Except for the lady who had an extensive
surgery for her
doudenal tumnor (she is still
recovering rather slowly from it), everyone
of our patients are doing just fine.
As you may know, during the nine days that we worked
in surgery, we did 107
procedures 88 of which were major ones. During the first week
in Tboli,
where we had the blessings of 3 volunteer dentists, 732
carious teeth were
extracted from 406 patients out of the 420 dental consults
made.
We praise the Lord for the local partners we have
had at the Tboli
Evangelical Clinic and Hospital, and at
Malaybalay, Bukindnon. To see a
young surgeon from BBH (Dr. Mayoga) being
mentored by Dr. Casino in cleft surgery, has even multiplied
the impact of
our work there.
