BEGUN IN AN EAST COAST BLIZZARD, A VISIT TO IOWA FOR SOME LONG RANGE PLANNING AND “IRISH RUN”

  2. Departing DC area in the East Coast’s “Blizzard of ‘06” I leave for DesMoines and Indianola on a trip planned before an abrupt opportunity to consider a new initiative for Virginia’s future.
  3. Re-entry from Iowa and bumping into past-due schedules of incomplete erasures which were past due at 9:00 AM on the Ides of February, as I was in the air;  refused permission to take written Comps and re-scheduling all else, an appeal is made to the Graduate School Dean and I am back on plan, with a pressurized make-up and work-forward schedule for the next two weeks.
