A THANK YOU NOTE FROM JULIE GHRIST,

WHO HAD HOSTED US AT A LUNCH IN RUHENGERI,

FOR THE BAG OF GIFTS LEFT WITH PIERRE IN KIGALI

FOR DISTRIBUTION TO THE RWANDANS

And, Thank You Julie!

You may have no idea how far that bag of mine has traveled, so it is about time that it came home to Africa!  And, we may have outfitted a few runners for additions to the legacy of African couriers!

We were only sorry that Pierre had to make two trips to collect it!  We had arrived late and were still in the process of re-packing what we had intended to leave.

It was a delight to have met you, and I cannot wait to get back to join you in an excursion to see the old Grey Silverbacks--probably closely resembling their near relatives at least in one instance!  It may be July of 2007, as a return has been promised to the MOH and to the Commandant of the Rwandan Army whose village is in the NorthEast along the Ugandan and Congolese mountainous  border, and the latter has asked that we make a clinic and care center up near his home as good as the one we have started sustainably in the capital.

I will keep in touch, and I am glad that the goodies may be put to good use!

Cheers!
