JUL-A-11

MY COLLECTIVE REBATES ON THE DC MARATHON

Thanks!  I must qualify about three ways to Sunday (March 24!)

Yes, I may be one of the earliest registrants.

Yes, I am a long-standing member of the Montgomery County Road Runners' Club.

Yes, I have enticed a number of these members to run with me, including the Guide Running I am dong with Joseph Aukward, already booked with me for this race.

Yes, although I was shocked to see it---when I entered my birthday, I saw the gloomy numbers projected back under the title "Age on Race Day"---so this must be my first Senior Citizen Run, after a couple of decades as Master Runner!

I am looking forward to it!

Cheers!

GWG

Oh, and I forgot one more!

I am a Chip Owner of CG64578---so, I think that, even registering very early before any of this discounting became known---I have just scored a grand slam on every one of your discounts!

Cheers!

GWG

Dear Glenn   Geelhoed:

Important News about your registration for the Washington DC Marathon! You

save $10...

You were one of the earlier registrants for the inaugural Washington DC

Marathon and the information about the early registration was not yet

finalized or incorporated on the website - there is a $10 discount for

registering prior to Aug. 15 which was not displayed on your receipt as you

completed the online registration.

So, in fact, you will be billed for $10 less than appeared on the receipt

during the online registration.

In addition, there is a further $5 discount being offered if you are a

member of a Metro-DC running club or team.  If you are, please respond to

this email with the name of that club and we'll make sure that an

additional $5 is discounted from your registration fee before your credit

card is billed.

Hopefully this getting money back comes only as good news, and we apologize

for any inconvenience.

Again, thank you for registering for the Inaugural Washington DC Marathon -

it is going to be an event to remember.  And don't forget to tell your

friends to join you on March 24!

Sincerely,

The team at the Washington DC Marathon
