You just did!
I am delighted to help with such a mission and am already aware of the MSU commmittment. I had been at the MSU affilate in Grand Rapids just a month ago, before I started my roll for the year in Mindanao and Malawi. I was on my way to IHMEC in Havana, when the organizatoin failed to deliver the visas and tickets.
If your Inbox can handle it, I will send you the stroy of just this month's activities, and thoughts on Medical Missions. (forwarded under second cover‑‑as appropriate for a second inquiry!)
Yes, I would be delighted to come to do a lectureship at MSU‑‑recalling that I was once invited to chair the MSU Department of Surgery, and that occasion was as close as I had come to leaving the popst I have filled for the last three decades here in DC.
Let me know when, and I will send the outline of the year's committments and constraints, which may make it necessary to try for next year.
Thanks for your response, both first and second times!
Cheers!

Thank you for the reply, particularly in light of the huge volume of inquiries you must receive...I have now perused much of your information, including your personal website....which leads to...
A second inquiry:
Do you accept lectureships at other medical schools? Michigan State (undergrad) is in the highest tier as far as international experience as a component for undergrad education, but the medical school is struggling to define its role in the support of intl experience....there is a great interest in intl experience among the med students, and many sort out their own experiences with only quiet support from administration. The new Dean is putting together a task force to look at taking a more active role in encouraging (even requiring) all med students to embark on intl experiences...
Thus, having you for a lectureship (there are a few that are not yet filled) would be quite a special honor. If you ever accept them, let me know how we might convince you...
Thanks!
sarah

Hello Dr Geelhoed,
I saw some information about your trip last year on the AAMC website, and wondered if I might inquire about whether you have any upcoming trips planned...Then I would need to find out what constellation of information I need to gather to convince you of my infinite charm and suitability to take part in such a trip....
Thanks for your time
sarah
