Nope! The previous message  did not fly when I had pushed the "Send" button, so I will try again.

Congratulations on the population explosion in Belding!  I especially like the idea that the trusty Bronco arrived in time but that you may have to make room for expansion in the gun cabinet!

I will be cheering you on however many even integers are counted on sonography!  I know something about twins, especially from recently playing with a couple, and I would highly recommend them if they happen to come your way!

If you need any further psyching up for the Cumberland hunt, I may just tack on an attachment of one of the fascinating experiences from a prior year in text form‑‑the photo albums are in your vehicle for further inspiration!  The most unusual event that has ever happened on a hunt in the wilderness occurred in 2000 on Cumberland and could never have been anticipated‑‑I will print this story up and show you this text on arrival‑‑if you can tear away to do any reading!

We will pack some fresh venison, and if it did not take too long to cook, I would carry a goose or two from my recent excursion.  To make you aware of our maryland roots, Bill Webster will be packing some marylnad softshells and other crabby delights.  It is anticipated that you will not go hungry.

Yes, Drew, there is a laundry machine and it is free for your use!  There are not too many other amenities that you will find absent in this "primitive hunting camp!"

I will give you a string of cell phones since we will be leaving later than planned, since the "walkthrough" is postponed beyond the original January 8 date.  But, it will not be too much later, since they are swarming through the house today, hanging drywall which has been carried into each room after the inspection certificate for electrical and plumbing has been posted on the new windows, and I had met the boss, carrying in the interior scaffolding from one of his three Ram 2500 turbo diesels of which he could not be more pleased in their performance of 200K miles each in the three and five years each have been purring along getting 20+ mpg carrying two tons and up each day.

There were 24 sealed pails of the "mud" they use in the drawling stacked in the living room, with the stair rail torn out and the wrought iron rails installed in the brick pillars outside to replace the wooden ones taken out by the Hurricane Isabel's downfalls.  The one heavy shock of the weekend was a small handwritten slip I found in my mailbox for the as‑yet‑incomplete cleanup of the woods, which over the last few months has totaled more than my annual take home income‑‑all an uninsured after‑tax luxury expense.  Ah, well, it is time to go to Cumberland into a dense wilderness of live oaks hung with Spanish moss.

I will be leaving now at 2:00 PM on Friday and trying to get down to Fernandina Beach by the time I can catch either the 12:15 or 5:00 PM Lucy Ferguson leaving from the Greyfield Inn dock on Saturday.  This would give me time to show the island by some light on Sunday morning to the newcomers Dale Kramer and Bill Webster who will be convoying down with me, while old timers Paul Gibbs and Rich Reinert would have rendezvoused at JAX where Rich is flying in from AZ on Friday meeting Paul who will drive down from ATL for the Saturday AM grocery run.

So that everyone knows who and about where everyone is, I will list the cell phone numbers in the order in which each is getting there.  The objective is to get the newcomers, at least, a little chance to view some of the island other than the wilderness in which we will be hunting, but the hunt will be pre‑dawn to post‑dusk, so you will not see a lot of the great beaches, historic sites, etc.  Plus, the Sunday afternoon before the mandatory hunt orientation is the time that I would like to show you, at least the newcomers, where each will be stationed on stand, so that your first encounter will not be in the pre‑dawn blackness in which it is altogether too easy to get lost.  It will not be a long time to thoroughly "scout" but it will be the time for me to get you to the places I already plan to have the first timers.

I am leaving with Dale Kramer from the Western Shore of Maryland on Friday afternoon.  Dale Kramer is carrying cell 301/370‑3873.  I will start off with him and attempt later rendezvous with Bill Webster, who is leaving from Maryland's Eastern Shore on Friday afternoon to go down the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and hit 95 about the same time we emerge down there in VA/NC I will be carrying 240/401‑0247, and Bill Webster is packing cell phone 410/603‑9419.

About the same time, Paul Gibbs 404/316‑6821 should be heading toward Rich Reinert at JAX who is packing 520/797‑9337 (H) and cell 520/631-6363.

Not until Saturday morning Craig Schaefer 843/833‑6740 will be picking up his son David and his friend Sage to try to arrive on Sunday morning by which time we should already be there and setting up at Nancy's Fancy.

You can get the information and a reservation for the Lucy Ferguson by punching "Greyfield Inn" into any search engine, and they will tell you the outbound schedule of 9:30, 12:15 and 5:00 which takes about a half hour to the Greyfield dock, and if I know when you are coming in, I can pick you and the gear up in the Ford Ranger‑‑a real luxury.  Those who have already been there know that the Greyfield inn dock is within walking distance of Nancy's Fancy, but not for anyone packing gear.

I have already notified Liz Mc Comus, the caretaker (904/277‑9782) and she may be developing a hankering for a bit of fresh hog!

So, I think that this may answer many questions‑‑not as big and interesting as those you will be looking into on Monday morning!

I will be cheering you on and hope that your drive goes well!

Cheers for a Happy start to an even happier New year!

This will determine the amount of clothing he packs...The Bronco runs

informative ultrasound monday the 5th. to see how many babies sherri is

carrying...boy when it rains it pours...b ut that's o.k we have plenty

of room and we will just need to get a bigger gun cabinet is all...and we

are also shopping( test driving and negotiating) for a larger van.,

Can yopu email me your cell phone number again I have misplaced it...also
