Hello,

Matthew is a handful. We have not been gettting much sleep, since he needs to be held 24/7. He has quite a set of lungs on him whenever you put him down. He has been nursing frequently and is obviously putting on weight. He is lifting his head up on his own.

Did you get the first set of pictures I emailed to you? I will try to send you some more now that he is more alert and opening his eyes more often. It is going to be a challenge for me to keep up with and support my larger family. Andrew and Kacie have been very good with their little brother.

I received your phone message about July 30th through August 2nd. This would not be a good time for you to visit. I will be back at work. (I currently work Saturday through Tuesday day shift) It will be impossible for me to take anymore time off since I have exhausted a good part of my time off with the paternity leave. The house is a wreck since Andrew's new room (upstairs) is under construction and there is really no place where we could sleep a guest. I understand your desire to meet your grandson, but it is not a good time for us. You put us in a difficult situation when you leave a message that you will be here on July 30th and that you will be staying until the 2nd. Our schedules are even more difficult to manipulate now that we have three children. I know that you are going to be dissappointed, but please try to understand that we are trying to get adjusted.
