thank you so much dr. glenn. im on ob call right now but will call them first thing in the am.

we are leaving for accra on 9/8 from dc (only there for ~36hrs) but can have them shipped there.

looking forward to speaking with you soon.

your pics and stories from eritrea were wonderful. ive forwarded them along to our future mission brethren drs. jeff pierce and dan dewey ‑ LAOS, Feb '06??!?!!!

speaking of which, have you thought more about hopping over to meet us in lao from the mindanao? and, as i mentioned prior, jeff pierce (tropical medicine certified/surgery) will be able to be there 2wks earlier than dan and myself  and is very keen to operate with you in mindanao or lao(jefe ‑ insert yourself here).

how about the grand rounds at our hospital? depending on your schedule, there are open dates in oct/nov/dec.

hasta pronto,

kevin

dr. glenn,

loved reading some of those stories! sounds like you had an amazing

experience ‑ shades of somaliland.

urgent request: do you think you could request a couple of those MAP

boxes on my behalf? my license still hasnt arrived, and would hate to

arrive empty‑handed ‑ especially since i cant offer world‑reknowned

surgical teaching!

anyway, if it can be done without a license then im happy to do it; but

i thought your contacts there would be better than me going blind. i can

give you my address in dc where the meds can be sent: 2714 woodley place

NW washington, dc 20008.

hope to speak with you soon and look forward to hearing stories!

Good to hear about Ghana! I will relay this information to those who

have been there and those who are going so that they can compare

notes!

I am just returned form Eritrea. It was quite an experience, which

will shortly have the complete "show and tell" ready for your review,

as

well as the students' presentation of their life‑changing events. I

attach a preliminary summary, as well as the domestic disaster to

which

I had returned after leaving Derwood in such a pristine and clean

refurbished perfection.

I will check back with you on the Ghana (W. Africa) and Asmara Eritrea

(E. Africa and Horn) details and their future prospects.

Hi. So I'm back from my little trip. Went well and we accomplished a

lot. We were working in Nima, a predominantly Muslim slum in the

capital. Alternated meetings with the MOH and all the regional and sub

directors and the university and a research institute with time in the

community. Met with the chiefs and an Islamic center and some

professionals. Talked with a lot of residents and tested a survey,

gave

a couple of health classes and saw a couple of patients. We took one

side trip to Lake Volta and the Shai Reserve. So not bad for such a

short trip. Toured a private university. A friend is the new president

and he is starting the first PA program in Ghana. "bout it.

Hope you're well.
