"Tahum!"
Your travel log is almost too rich. Just when i think
stationary school days will last forever, i get your
email and
discover that there still is a world outside the
wards.
i will be by GW tomorrow after my shelf exam, and i'll
swing by your
office in the early afternoon. if i don't catch you,
good luck this
sat in Annapolis.
i recently read Kafka's "Country Doctor". it
spoke about not being
able to treat a pt until one is stripped of clothes
(whitecoats, PDAs,
and pocket guides) and placed in bed with the
pt(subjectivly viewing
the infected wound as if it was one's own). i really
equated this to
your work abroad so much more so than how we are
taught on the wards.
