NEW REVISED ITINERARIES TO MERGE THE ASIAN AND AFRICAN

TRAVELS INTO A CONTINUOUS SET OF ITINERARIES

Big news!

After getting pushed around by the commitments to the earlier air tickets I already had booked and paid, I am now in a much better set of itineraries.  According to the original plans at trying to merge the Asian and African trips, I would have to book a separate ticket to fly out of here (Washington, not Frankfurt)  to Baku, and then return all the way to Washington to pick up the other Lufthansa round trip pre‑paid ticket to get to Asmara.  The total of the two tickets was well over $5,000, and there was no way I could continue to merge the first itinerary with a new one to Asia, connecting through the European common port of Frankfurt.

I now have a better British Air flight into Baku (skipping Frankfurt and Moscow) from IAD on BA 292 on 24 July (Sunday night) arriving in Baku 25 July (Monday morning) 10:50 AM on BA 6613

I leave Baku on August 5 (Friday morning) at 8:40 AM going back to London on BA 6614, connecting at 1:55 PM on Friday afternoon with BA 908 to Frankfurt, arriving at a Frankfurt airport hotel for that Friday night August 5

On August 6, Saturday afternoon at 12:45 PM I fly out on Lufthansa 592 to Asmara Intntl Airport arriving 9:30 PM on Saturday night. At that point I will be with the whole Eritrean team picked up in nearly similar arrival times.

That way I will have a hotel for a shower for those arriving from DC that Saturday early morning and we can regroup with luggage and medical supplies for forwarding to Eritrea.

I leave from Asmara 17 August late Wednesday night at 11:10 PM on Lufthansa 593 to Frankfurt, arriving FRA at 6:15 AM on Thursday 18 August, connecting to Lufthansa 416 leaving FRA at 10:50 AM on Thursday August 18 getting in to IAD at 1:40 PM in time for me to get to my full days' of classes on Friday the 19th and following.

The two separate itineraries are listed in the first two attachments, and replace the one that is listed in the back of the 05‑Jun‑B‑4 attachment, but all other internal arrangements in Eritrea listed therein remain the same, especially the phone numbers, hospitals,  hotels and fax contact points for the mission

This should accommodate everyone's schedule better, and allow the two trips to dovetail, as they were not before.  I will make sure we are all tuned in on the changes.

Cheers!
