OCT-A-1

LAUNCHING THE SIKKIM-03 EXPEDITION.
POSSIBLY THE LAST OF THE 2003 INTERNATIONALS

  1. Oct-A-1  Index to the Oct-A-series beginning the Sikkim Expedition
  2. And, now, it is fall—even here in Maryland, with Derwood progress notable, and the scramble of pre-departure packing mixed with some long runs in the autumnal chill.
  3. Tom and Aubrey Griffioen team up to collect Aubrey’s first deer with her .410.
  4. Ernie Shifflett’s Tree Service and a sky crane bring down two massive Derwood residents of two and centuries’ duration, with a Guatemalan refugee crew.
  5. Exchange of notes with Jim Campbell, relating the events of progress on remodeling projects on both our house.
  6. The note forwarding the pictures of the “two hunt themes” of Alaska, Indianola and Derwood.
  7. A sunny cool day of my last Washington run, with a wave from GW Bush’s motorcade and a visit to Derwood to “clear out the woods” then, a rainy day departure, after an assessment at Derwood with the disaster response team from State Farm.
  8. Up and away, aboard Air France, for the next twenty four hours of my life, to transit stops in Paris and Delhi, with the Med Packs checked through to Bagdogra, Sikkim.
