RE-ENTRY FROM HAITI TO DERWOOD AND SUMMER PROLOGUE

  7. The summer solstice—the longest day, shortest night, and the conclusion of a good visit:  The Grand Tour of Derwood and DC for Tom and Sherie and their six kids, with rainy day museum hopping and a clean sweep of the IMAX new and old movies.

  9. Arranging the meeting with the Green Foundation for July 10, to follow the June 26 Capital Hill conference on “Haiti and Health”
  10. The first of the weather breaks follows the vernal solstice and I get the lawns mowed—but an airline industry glitch exasperates the other plans for the Derwood interior launch.

  12. Running in the new summer season, and a view of the Smithsonian Folklife Festival on the Mall, as I prepare further Haitian information for future participants.
